You might hear us touting ‘The only Australian digital care management platform built by care, for care’ quite a bit. But what does that really mean?
Put simply, it’s our way of saying, we build software that ‘walks the walk’.
Being originally developed for, and continuously developed for, one of Australia's fastest-growing home care providers, Five Good Friends, the team behind Lookout’s home care management software understands the day-to-day challenges care providers face.
2015
Inspired by their peer-to-peer technology experience as founders of Everyday Hero - the charitable giving platform, and a conversation with the founder of Map My Fitness, Simon Lockyer and Nathan Betteridge identify a gap in the market for structured data from health devices in home care.
2016
Five Good Friends is founded, utilising peer-to-peer models and structured data for better home care outcomes. However, they quickly pivoted to focus on harnessing unstructured data as the market shows signs of not being ready to adopt home health devices.
2018
Five Good Friends creates a remote care monitoring feature, using AI-powered risk detection algorithm to analyse unstructured data from care worker notes for real-time insights and interventions.
2019
Five Good Friends experiences rapid growth, prompting interest from the industry and other home care providers in their technology.
2020
Lookout is launched as a standalone cloud-based software solution, built on the technology developed by Five Good Friends. It quickly becomes one of Australia's leading home care management platforms.
2020 and beyond!
Lookout continues to evolve, benefiting from the firsthand learnings of Five Good Friends and becoming a trusted solution for home care providers nationwide.
